Davison, MI

Davison, one of the fastest growing communities in Genesee county, was first settled by Eleazer Thurston in 1842.  E.W. Rising came to the area in 1872 and was the village's chief promoter until his death in 1893.  Incorporated as a village in 1889 and as a city in 1938, Davison was named after Norman Davison, whose village of Davisonville had been changed to Atlas.  Patriotism runs high in Davison, also know as the "City of Flags."  Standing proudly opposite a modern municipal building are the remnants of Davison's past, preserved in its quaint historical museum.  Davison also has the distinct honor of of being among the top cities for its safe environment.  Davison offers its residents a quality of life second to none and is the perfect place to settle in and raise a family.

Recreation

If you like golf, you'll love Davison!  Davison Township is home to the Copper Ridge Golf Course, Sugarbush, Davison Country Club (former home of the Michigan PGA Golf tournament), and only a 15 minute drive from Warwick Hills Country Club, home of the nationally-televised P.G.A. Buick Open annual golf tournament.

While Davison Regional Park offers 138 acres to relax on, the area also offers plenty of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and hunting all within a 10 to 15 minute drive.  There are plenty of lakes less than an hour away where you can fish, swim, or go boating!  Port Huron and Saginaw Bay are just two of many!  And as if that weren't enough, you can also enjoy a day at the  Crossroads Historical Village, the Riverfest in Flint, of the nationally recognized Bobby Crim Road Race.

Employment

Davison, MI is located directly at the crossroads of I-69 and M-15 and just minutes away from I-75, I-475, and US 23.  This ideal location allows the community to preserve its small town atmosphere while offering easy access to many major employers.  The world headquarters for General Motors Service Parts Operations is just 15 minutes away, as is the award winning Genesys Regional Medical Center.  Davison's close proximity to many major roadways provides an ideal location for travel to Lansing, the state's capital, as well as to North Oakland County, the automotive capital of the world. 

Housing
